Corrigendum regarding the first call for proposals

 Romania-Serbia IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme

The Romania-Serbia IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme is funded by the European Union's Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA), the Cross-border Component and co-financed by the Partner States in the Programme: Romania and the Republic of Serbia. The Programme focuses on increasing the overall competitiveness of the economy in the Romania-Serbia border area and on the improvement of the quality of life for the border communities in both countries.

The 2003 Phare External Border Initiative Programme for Romania and the Neighbourhood Programme Romania-Serbia & Montenegro 2004-2006 paved the way for the new integrated cross-border instrument(s) to be implemented at EU external borders as of 2007.

Therefore, basic conditions for cross-border cooperation are already in place and the Romania-Serbia IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme can concentrate on its strategic goal of achieving a more balanced sustainable socio-economic development of the Romania-Serbia border area.
